I'm Seb, a senior software engineer and AI builder in the Ottawa-Gatineau area. I started out in graphic design, then moved into software development. Over the last few years I've been doing more and more systems architecture, and a big part of that is figuring out how a business can really use AI, not just wrap an LLM and call it a strategy.
A lot of the job happens away from the code. I ask why things still exist, push back on complexity nobody needs, and make sure the team can keep everything running after I leave.
I've been coding for more than 17 years and I'm still at it. If a role needs someone hands-on more than another architecture review, that works for me.
Outside of client work, I make things under Exodd Games: experimental coding projects, 2D art, and video games. I also play around with local AI models, mostly to see what breaks.
